HOW WAS THE GILWELL MANUAL WRITTEN?
WHAT'S INSIDE?
The Gilwell Handbook was prepared as a result of the hard work of its founding members, who tried to establish Gilwell Turkey.
Founding members, Gilwell Education with its historical-traditional processes They brought together the expectations of the modern world. The systematics applied in the Gilwell Education System until today and the applications in different countries of the world were reviewed. Different international Scouting organizations at different times Consider the different effects they had on Gilwell.
Gilwell is undoubtedly a universal education system. On the other hand, every universal system can survive and find application only when countries' own traditions, customs, historical and social characteristics are taken into account. While preparing the Gilwell Handbook , these facts were always kept in mind and reflected in the text.
Turkey has lost a lot of blood in terms of Scouting in the last twenty years.
There were also thirty years missed in the sense that Scouting was a non-governmental organization. When the two come together, we must admit that we have to make up for a delay of around fifty years.
In other words, we have half a century to close with world Scouting.
So, we have no more time to waste. We must re-create Turkey Scouting from its ashes by scrutinizing everything.
In the meantime, we are not seeing the signs of this wish on the horizon.

The Gilwell Handbook is a kind of "manual" available to Gilwell Turkey 1954 members.
We send the Gilwell Handbook, a publication of our association, which you will find below in the "Contents" section, free of charge to our members.
Please ask for our membership form and association charter before requesting. Once you complete your membership, the Gilwell Handbook will be sent to your address free of charge but at a cost.
