WHAT IS GILWELL EDUCATION SYSTEM?

 

WHAT DOES WOOD BADGE MEAN?

Developed in Gilwell Park, London, over time

It is the name of the education system that has enriched itself by renewing itself.

 

Wood Badge is the first step of this system and

It is symbolized by the Two Boards.

 

Two Boards to train individual Scout leaders, Scout federations, schools with Scout leaders, non-governmental organizations, municipalities, Scout professionals, leaders who work with Scouts of all ages.   It is the first step of the method they should use. This step will be followed by 3 Boards.  

4 Board is not a determined training method, it is a series of seminars given to continue the development of Educator Leaders who have received 3 Board training and contributed to 3 Board training. It adjusts to the changing times and ensures that contemporary developments are reflected in Scouting.

As we mentioned at the beginning, Wood Badge is another name for the 2 Wood Marks in the Gilwell Training Method. The 3 Wooden Signs are referred to as TTT (Train The Trainer).
