The Wood Badge is the first level where Scout leaders, Scout federations, schools that have Scout leaders, non-governmental organizations, municipalities, Scout professionals, who work with Scouts of all ages, take their steps towards educational leadership .
The Wood Badge is the first and most important level that also gives its name to the Gilwell Teaching Method.

Wood Badge is essentially an adventure of discovery .
Before the pandemic, the training, which was carried out completely in nature and preferably for a week, is applied as a hybrid in order to prevent the spread of the disease, at least until more comfortable days are reached. We should understand this: While theoretical lessons are given over internet platforms such as Zoom, practical lessons, which are indispensable for Scouting, continue to be given in the field. The balance between theory and practice is determined by the staff who will manage this training.
We wish and hope that Wood Badge education can become completely given in nature, as it was in the old days.
